Singer(s): Male + male harmony
Ready for mix
@1975 – I had wanted to write a straightforward blues-rock song for a while, and on a day when I felt a bit more down than usual, I put this together. I wanted the guitar solo to express frustration, surrender, and anger at feeling so alone. Also wanted to write something that others could empathize with.
Been so long since I’ve had the blues
Been looking for such a long, long time, for some good time news
Baby, maybe you could give me an ounce of what makes me feel free
Nobody, nobody seems to be out helping me, when I got the blues
I got the blues
Sometimes I feel like an old ragged son
Taking care of the things some baby has undone
When I’m whispering out something, some words I’d like someone to hear
They keep on coming back to me, telling me there’s no one there, to hear me say
I got the blues, I got the blues
Instrument Break
I got the blues, I got the blues
Can’t see much more use in living this way
I’ve been crying, dying, trying to get out of this ok
Can’t take much more of this silly abuse
All that I’m saying is all that I’m playing because I got the blues
I got the blues, I got the blues
I got the blues, I got the blues

What is the constant high pitch on the right side,?
i don’t know. if it’s all the way thru, the only instruments that do the whole song are drums, rhythm guit and bass. i’ll get my engineer to find the cause. thanks for pointing it out!
